Augemented Reality Cube Multi Marker with ARToolkit and Vizard
Ingredients:
> 6 cardboard squares, 10cm by 10cm
> 6 ARToolkit matrix markers, numbers 1 to 6, 80mm width
> Tape
> Webcam
> Vizard
> Zip file attached to article
Steps
1. Print marker PDFs in the zip file. Cut cardboard squarses. Assemble cardboard cube with tape. Listen to this to get in the primary school art time mood:

2. Tape matrix marker 1 on the cube.
3. Run the Vizard script with webcam attached.
4. Put the matrix marker 2 in the camera view, directly facing the camera. Note the 3D agent's orientation and the matrix markers orientation. Remove matrix marker 2 cutout from view.
5. Put the cube with matrix marker 1 in the camera view. Rotate it until the 3D agent's orientation matches the oritation when matrix marker 2 was in view.
6. The matrix marker 2 cutout goes on the side of the of cube facing the camera. Test it by holding the marker on the cube and rotating the cube so marker 1 faces the camera. If the orientation of the 3D agent jumps when switching between markers, then there is a problem. If it looks good, tape it on.
7. Repeat steps 4 through 6 with the rest of the matrix markers.
